Painting brings me to another world, filled with vibrant colors, imaginary flowers and birds.

For hours reality does not exist for me. I enjoy beautiful colors of the sunset of the summer, the winter sunrise, or bright colors of the leaves in the Fall.  Inspired by nature’s beauty, music, or song, I create my paintings.  

 

I also enjoy exploring new techniques and media. For example, new "Theme Ties" series  were inspired and born , when old friend, Mark Tavenner, the entertainer, asked me to make him a tie with Mexican theme. I never painted on the tie before, and decided to try. It wasn't easy , but I enjoyed it. Thus, the new ties like Hanukkah, Rosh Hashanah, Russian Symbols, Russian Architecture, and Moscow  Nights  were created. 

 

New ties were added to the Gallery! Just finished a new ties series, called " Rhythms of Latin America "- these ties  tell about culture and music of Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Argentina, Brazil, and Cuba. Creating these ties, I travelled virtually to the places I've visited, and to the new places. I was inspired by music, beautiful nature, and famous landmarks of these countries.

The new, Italian tie, tells about music and culture of Italy. This tie was inspired by our trip to Italy, in 2001. I tried to include all famous landmarks of Rome, and Vatican, such as St. Peter's Basilica and fountain Trevi, beautiful Duomo Cathedral,  LaScala Theater,  songs performed by famous opera and popular singers, who performed songs in Italian language. There is also a spirit of Milan Fashion Week, and other beautiful cities on our way from Milan to Rome.

The new Israel tie tells about music and culture of Israel. Including all historic and modern landmarks of the country, I dedicated this tie to our trip to Israel, and this is my contribution to support Israel.

"Cel-egg-rities"  series - celebrity  and movie characters , made out from the egg shells, were created by making birthday gifts for friends :)
